Streams & Watercourses

Although there are very few gardens that can boast a natural stream or watercourse, it is in fact quite easy to construct your own. This type of water feature is a good way to make use of a change in level within the garden, and can provide an attractive sight and sound.

A more formal stream may be created by installing a rill, or narrow canal. The crisp lines of a water rill make them particularly suitable for contemporary designs, or they may be used to evoke a Moorish feel in the garden.
