Species

O. caeruleum (Synonym: Tweedia caeruleum) is a shrubby, twining climber, to around 1 m (3 ft) high. It has hairy, pale green foliage and pretty, powder blue, starry flowers, and boat-shaped, green seed pods.

Cultivation

In frost-prone climates, grow in a cool to intermediate greenhouse, in a pot of soil-based potting compost. Provide good light. In late winter, cut hack old flowered shoots to within three or four buds of their base. Outdoors grow in a warm frost-free situation in light, well-drained soil. Can also be grown as an annual - sow early spring. Propagate from seed or softwood cuttings, both with bottom heat.
