There is only one species in this genus from the Canary Islands.

Species

C. canariensis, a bushy shrubby perennial, has nettle-shaped, aromatic leaves and, in summer, lilac, pink or white flowers. It grows to 1.2 m (4 ft).

Cultivation

In areas prone to frost, grow in a cool conservatory or outdoors as a summer annual. Sow seed in early spring under glass. Outdoors, grow in full sun.
