T-Budding

This technique is mainly used to propagate roses and fruit trees.

Method

In this method, a bud (chip) is removed from the scion (the budstick) and is grafted onto the rootstock by inserting it into a T-shaped slit in the stock bark. It may be necessary to supply rootstocks with additional water for two weeks before grafting to ensure that the stock bark lifts smoothly.
