Moles

Moles use their powerful front paws to claw at the soil and pack it on all sides to create a tunnel. They then turn around and push the soil to the surface, creating molehills and damaging lawns. Their tunnelling can also disturb the roots of young plants and seedlings.

Control

Although moles may be controlled by trapping or fumigating, there are also a number of more humane ways to eliminate them from your garden. There are sonic devices available that can repel moles and other burrowing rodents by emitting a sonic pulse every 25 seconds. There are also anti-mole flower bulbs that secrete a smell, undetectable to humans but offensive to moles, making them move away from your garden.
